The course first opened for play in 1936. It's Arizona's third oldest golf course. This city-owned golf course offers a relaxed atmosphere and a golf design with wide fairways and a limited number of water hazards. The course has an abundance of mature palm and salt cedar trees, plus some truly spectacular views of downtown Phoenix.

Seemed a little pricy for the track. Some other munis in Phoenix/Scottsdale are a little nicer.

A Phoenix City course, so with PHX card (available to all Maricopa County residents), the price is among the best, especially walking. Course condition is good, especially for the price. Other courses are more challenging, but though flat and open it's not as easy as it looks (don't get off the side into the trees or OB). Our group uses this as kind of a "fallback" course if no others are open when we want to play or are too expensive (most of them are this time of year in PHX - we're retirees...).
